Gillie, Ingrid, Theresa and Laura
are
always ready to show their enjoyment at
being together again. |

Saturday 12th December dawned an absolutely
perfect summer's day with weather to match.
In fact, after arriving at the
Stellenbosch Slow food market, as
we all stepped out of the air conditioned
coach, it felt like we were climbing into a
sauna. |

The ladies wasted no time in sharing a 'snack' -
"Don't eat too much now - we are going out for
lunch" Ann found delicious cheese and Rose
a Chili jam which she said would be perfect for
Ann's cheese! "What about an
early dinner together" Rose said! |

|
The delectable fresh cakes and pastries had
everyone's mouths drooling.
Brenda was thrilled to have her
cousin, Mareon to share the
day with her. |

|
Carol wasted no time in purchasing
her absolute favorite - smoked trout! Also
on display were pies and quiches of all
description. |
|
|
|
Brian found a cooling
pineapple/orange juice that was delicious as
well as healthy. Linda
cooled off in the luggage compartment of the
coach after her shopping . "Good storage
space for my new rug" she said! |

|
We then headed on to Volkskombuis
for our starters. Tables were set inside
and the air-conditioning was very
welcome. |
|

|
Theresa couldn't wait to quench her
thirst. Whilst sorting out the bill,
Carol commented that this must be the
fastest turnaround for 36 guests the
restaurant has ever had! |

|
The setting at Delheim for our
main course was perfect under the vines and
Ann and Jenny who are good friends,
enjoy the time out together. |

clothing. Mel, Barbi and
Annette share a joke. |

Pane e Vino was our last
stop - their tiramisu and either an
Espresso or Americano coffee, with a
Grappa chocolate was the perfect end to
our progressive lunch. |

|
|
This quaint restaurant is worthy of another
visit soon - this time perhaps to enjoy a tour
of their Grappa Production plant.
Gillie and Brenda were intent on
listening to the story told by a friend - and
didn't budge when the photographer appeared on
the scene. |
|
