It is years since Time Out has visited Paarl.  On Thursday 29th March come along and explore Paarl with me.  Spend some time in the Main Road of Paarl where antique shops abound.  Take time out to enjoy a cup of coffee and the vibe of the area. Lunch will be at THE MOUNTAIN SHADOWS GUEST HOUSE

This guest house is situated on a working wine and olive farm at the foot of the Drakenstein mountains.  The historic Cape Dutch manor house dates back to 1823 and has been declared a national monument.  There is a bass dam, abundant bird-life; and loads of country peace.
Mountain Shadows is more than a guesthouse - it is a celebration of life, family, friends, food and wine. “Come and visit us in the shadow of the mountain…and rejuvenate your soul”.
 In their restaurant their talented chef produces mouth-watering dishes using only the finest local ingredients with fresh produce.
