THURSDAY 23RD FEBRUARY '12
|
INSTITUTE FOR THE BLIND
Worcester |
|
I always love to do one ‘charity’ tour a year, and it is
thanks to Erika Minnie that I was able
to organize this day out for you. With
the help of Ledivia at the Blind
Institute in Worcester, who plans the
visits to their centre, you are assured
of a day that will make you realize how
fortunate you indeed are! |
|
We will visit the
Fossil Trail. These
fossils can be explored with touch,
opening the world of fossils to the
blind and deaf blind people. This open
air exhibition makes it an exceptional
experience and the concrete exhibits
serve as an excellent source of tactile
information. This will be a guided tour. |
|
We will also go to the museum
and will visit the industries to
see how the blind actually make
cane and woodwork products,
weaving etc. Lunch will be
served at the Institute and the
band will entertain us whilst we
enjoy our meal. |
