TIME OUT IS ELEVEN
Pierneef á La Motte
Franschhoek

Welcome to Page 2

There is an air of anticipation at the start of the day.  Pre-seating ensures that you share the day with your friends of choice.  It is always so much better - "Familiarity breeds content".

Margie and Annie are seen enjoying their fabulous white bean soup which was served with truffles.  Barbi was so intent on enjoying her soup that she wasn't even keen to look up at the photographer.

It was Bridget's birthday and she was absolutely delighted that she could spend the day amongst good friends like Laura.  Ria is a newcomer to the Time Out Ladies Club and gets to know Joy over lunch.

Marie, and Maureen are part of the Three Musketeers (pity Heather was not in the photograph) and they are always seen together on coach tours.  Meanwhile Theresa tells Ingrid all about her boat cruise.

"Now that's better" - glasses raised to toast the photographer (and Time Out!).  Margot and Heather also looking swish and enjoying the first course.

Our family always make a special effort to attend and their help with the day is so welcome.  It is a super time for them all to 'break-away' from busy offices; maybe that is why they all look so happy!

Main course was a choice of Porcini Roasted Salmon trout, pumpkin, mushroom, avocado and preserved lemon ragout, red wine and smoked salmon jus OR Crown roasted chicken served with a caramelized onion tart, preserved lemon & seasonal vegetables.   After having enjoyed the chicken (not a popular choice amongst the ladies - "Hey I have chicken at home often" )- I remarked to Chris that it literally melted in my mouth - "Cook the breast on the bone - and you can have the same result" said Chris!

Then it was time to thank everyone. Carol thanks Mel for her participation on the day and also for being her 'guardian angel' - always there to listen and help her!   Also Sally, Ingrid and Laura were thanked for being ready to help out with roll call on the Constantia coach (when Heather & Maureen are not available) - they each received a special 'angel' to hang on their Christmas tree.

Maureen and Heather tirelessly do the roll call each month on the Constantia coach saving Carol from actually having to go across town to do this.  Many thanks to them for their devotion.  Also where would a mom be with the help of her girls? (family)..........they add to the finesse of the day and grateful thanks to all three of them too.

Dessert and a symbolized birthday cake - 11 cup cakes in personalized Time Out cup cake holders specially made for the occasion.  Thanks to Terry in Knysna for her hand in designing these holders.  It is such a unique idea and adds a very special touch to any function.

Susan asks: "Do I look better, in the mirror or in real life, Brian?" .  The photo on the right shows part of the Pierneef art gallery.  What a treat to have this added to our day - many of the ladies browsed the gallery and, of course, their awesome farm shop before it was time to board the coaches for our homeward bound journey.
