WELLINGTON

The view from Val du Charron. Don't know which is better, the group or the mountains??!!

When the phone rings early in the morning of an outing day you immediately think of illness. Today it was bad weather. Jenny Ferreira, who's garden we had arranged to view called to say there was a bad  wind blowing in Wellington and she wanted to cancel as her garden was a mess! Much discussion followed and Jenny eventually agreed that it would be OK to visit. Phew! The wind actually subsided during our visit, so all was well.

This beautiful group of ladies all enjoying a joke together!  Ingrid is ever so proud of her new ipad and is taking beautiful photos with it.

The gazebo at the bottom of the garden is often booked for weddings.  Ann and Hilda took opportunity to pose for a 'sisterly' photo.

Lunch today was at Val du Charron guest house and wine estate.  They have the most stunning view from their wine tasting room cum restaurant!  Makes a person want to linger over lunch.

Everyone received a small gift, and there were smiling faces all around for the photographer.  We all love to get gifts!

This photo shows, yet again, that smiley faces are the order of the day!  After all, happiness is becoming when you are with happy people.

Yet another happy photo of ladies enjoying themselves.  It just proves that Life is Good and the year 2012 has been good to those of us who travel regularly together, discovering the Western Cape.

The table at the entrance to the restaurant became our gift table.  Theresa became the Christmas fairy, and along with Jenny, they handed out gifts to the delighted ladies.
Christmas is just around the corner and
the new year beckons.
Enjoy the festive season with your family and
approach 2013 with new found vigor.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
