DAY 4:  Destination: Drakensberg Boys Choir - Group photo taken at Dragon Peaks restaurant prior to attending the choir performance..

Breakfast time again!  Carol tucks into Fresh asparagus, salmon and a medium poached egg - delicious!  En route to the Drakensberg Boys Choir we stopped at Hinterland Farm where they weave with mohair.  We were able to watch the ladies at work - step by step.
"They make it look so easy" Barbi stares in amazement!  Ruth and Trixie take time out posing next to the headless model.  Gillie was delighted with her sleeveless jacket - will definitely solve her problems with the cold Cape winters!

A quick comfort break at the Champaign Sports Resort ensured that we arrived for lunch at Dragon Peaks fully refreshed prior to our performance at the Drakensberg Boys Choir School.  Ronnie looks quite delighted with his lunch - a basket of noshies!  "No Babe I'm not sharing this with you" he said to Marie.

This is what happens when you arrive late for a performance - they make you come through the audience all the way up the stairs.  Everyone waits in anticipation for this awesome production.  The first half of the performance is light opera and classical but everyone was of the opinion that the 'boys really shone' when the beat improved!  WOW is all we could say.........Full marks to all the Drakensberg Boys Choir members.  The grannies amongst us were very concerned about how young some of the boys are to be at a boarding school.

Annette and Carol chat up some of the little guys - what wonderful manners they are taught.  In fact, during the interval some of the boys come out in the open and do wonderful African songs. Click the video in the centre block above.  "We didn't want the performance to stop"  was the general comment. David seems to be enthralled with the three outdoor performances

An hour & a half coach trip "home" brought us to Bierfassl at 7pm for dinner. After a great meal a few ladies decided to dance to the beat provided by a local artist, much to the enjoyment? of the local majority (younger) crowd. On leaving one patron was heard to say to Barbi, "Don't break a hip now".  Fun was had by all and another 'day in paradise' was concluded.

"Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent"
