A full coach of 45 ladies had a wonderful day starting at the Morgenster Protea Farm where Merlette and her brother have turned this family farm into a viable business. 

Merlette gave us a wonderful insight into the growing of proteas and her love for the farm was evident.
Next stop was the delectable Chocolates by Tomes on the Backsberg Estate where the ladies waited in line to buy their delicious chocolates………..

there was much ‘gathering’ and their waistlines will not be the same after this visit!

Lunch was at the Lucky Store outside Stellenbosch…………….what a delight to enjoy lunch in this restaurant.  The menu offered gave everyone a good taste of what food used to be like in Granny’s kitchen!
