JANE GOODALL
INSTITUTE-CHIMPANZEE EDEN-HALF DAY |
|
In
many ways this is a ‘feel good’ story.
It’s a story of how a woman who cared so
much for chimpanzees that she created a
sanctuary to look after and rehabilitate
injured, orphaned, or sick chimpanzees.
These creatures are most amusing to
watch, and today we are going to visit
the sanctuary to find out more about
them!
Chimpanzees hold a fascination for us
and it must have something to do with
the fact that they share 98% of our DNA.
It is heart-warming to watch them
interact with each other, and with their
carers. Multiple viewing decks offer
great vantage points at feeding time. A
specialized guide will explain what the
institute does and we’ll learn about
Chimpanzee behaviour and how they
communicate in their own language.
A light lunch is included and this is a
good opportunity to view your photos to
make sure you’ve captured great shots of
these endearing creatures. |
