Join us on an incredible journey which takes
you back over a million years to the
beginning of civilization to meet our
ancestors and find out how they lived.
We travel through time at the World
Heritage Site of The Cradle of Humankind
visiting the Maropeng Centre where we
can chat to extinct species and
experience the various stages of the
development of the human race. Our tour
continues as we travel to the
Sterkfontein Caves to meet Mrs Ples and
Little Foot whose skeletons were
excavated here.
We enter the caves via walkways and a
boardwalk which takes us past the
excavation site to see where the fossils
were found. Learn more about these
extraordinary discoveries which helped
prove to the world that Africa is the
Cradle of Humankind. A nearby lion park
is our next stop! This is a great
opportunity to capture these beautiful
creatures on camera. You’ll have a
chance to observe and interact with the
lions and their cubs and when you leave
you will feel privileged at having had
the opportunity to get up close to the
king of animals |

Entrance fees charged by third
party service providers may be
charged for children under 12
years.
Children under 8 years are only
permitted on game drives on a
private tour, and on certain
tours at the discretion of
Hylton Ross Touring and third
party service providers.
