AFRICAN NIGHT EXPERIENCE-HALF
DAY |
|
We enter the Kruger National Park late
in the afternoon when the animals are
about to set off to hunt for their
dinner after a siesta in the hot African
sun. With a bit of luck we may catch a
glimpse of them as they stretch and yarn
before setting out on their search for a
meal. Our expert guides are trained to
spot the animals which blend into their
surroundings so easily that our
untrained eye misses them. The tiered
seats of our open safari vehicle are the
perfect place to capture precious
moments on camera.
As the sun drops towards the horizon we
stop for a sundowner drink to soak up
the last golden rays of the spectacular
African sunset. A traditional South
African braai is laid on (weather
permitting), and we savour the ‘Out of
Africa’ moment with the decadence of a
meal in the bush. We may be rewarded
with some excitement on the return
journey because our guide has a powerful
spotlight for more animal sightings! |
