ISANDLWANA & RORKE'S DRIFT
-FULL DAY |
|
This is the story of war, and a place
where history was made, and we are going
to capture the thrilling drama of it all
on our tour. We head out to the
battlefields of Isandlwana and Rorke’s
Drift to see where the Zulu worriers and
the British Armies fought.
You’ll notice an eerie quietness when
you stand there in the middle of these
great open spaces. You’ll feel sadness
when you think about the lives which
were lost, the pain and suffering, and
you’ll realise that we have come such a
long way to present time where we all
live together as the rainbow nation
where the war is a distant event of the
past.
Lunch is included in the tour and it’s a
good opportunity to reflect on what your
guide has told you about the bravery of
the men who fought here. Our journey
back to Durban takes us through some
magnificent scenery of Kwazulu Natal. |
