DAYS 4 & 5:
Destination: Wild Oats Market - Sedgefield / The Heads / Simola / Home

Barbi looks "all washed up", and Brenda & Ann are ready for a shopping morning, all waiting for the coach to take us to the Wild Oats Market on Saturday morning.
"Life is good" said Ann and Brenda with their boerewors, scrambled egg rolls. The happy group after shopping for the morning, waiting for JP to open the coach.  A few ladies decided to take 'alternative' transport up to the heads (The coach is not permitted to go to the top)..  Here they stand in front of a local taxi - the driver proved to be a real gem - taking them to 4 viewpoints, and even bringing along a friend to make sure their possessions were safe on the taxi when they were not in it!

"Wow when will I ever get the chance to do this again" says Ingrid and gives the thumbs up sign.  Friends atop the Heads and it looks like Heather is a bit nervous about standing so close to the edge!

Our dinner at Simola was a fitting end to our trip away - the ladies all dressed in their finery and Brenda and Susan share a quiet little joke

"Sushi, seafood starters coupled with a buffet with delicious paella, rump steak, chicken - oh my goodness where will we find space for dessert?"

JP and Mel share a joke, and Bridget and Mel try to emulate Susan BoyleMel decided she would be better off being our 'model-of-note' than trying to sing!

Lunch was at La Belle Alliance in Swellendam - their peaceful gardens could, unfortunately, not be used for the lunch.  It was a chilly damp day, but their restaurant indoors was so warm and cozy that had we known what lay in wait down Sir Lowry's Pass, we might have lingered over lunch for another hour or so!  (The long weekend coupled with the whale festival caused this).  When finally we reached our end point and swapped over into our shuttles to take us home, there was much hugging and a certain sadness that this trip was indeed over!  Oh well on to 2010 for more fun in the sun.

Celebrate the happiness that friends are always giving,
make every day a holiday and celebrate just living!
