TIME OUT IS TEN
LANZERAC HOTEL & SPA
29
th July 2010

The Time Out Ladies Club celebrated its 10th anniversary on the 29th July 2010 at the Lanzerac Hotel in Stellenbosch.

Seventy members & guests all dressed every so elegantly, all ready to celebrate the occasion.  Here Carol gives instructions to Vicki, Alison and Michelle before departing to the venue.  Hettie and Kathy who both joined years ago, along with Bridget, Elaine and Colleen exchanging greetings.  Margie looks so happy on arrival - a day of anticipation awaits!

Lynn, Maureen and ever smiling Chrissie, so happy to be together.  Di gets to know Alice - both relatively new members.  A laden gift table made the anticipation even greater - "Will I get one of those super gifts?"

Mel the ever efficient MC for the day greets guests.  Linda, Pauline and Glynnis get to know each other.  Heather absolutely delighted with the program asks Carol if she can please retain it as a keepsake.  Little did she know what was to come!

Carol 'does her thing' and this year she was joined at the podium by Brenda and Marie who both gave their view of why and how they had joined the Time Out Ladies Club and what it means to them individually.

Mary Honeybun was given the "Bread Tag Queen" award.  Mary has been responsible for collecting plastic bread tags and selling them back to Packaging Recyling Council and then in turn purchasing wheel chairs for the needy with the money.  Wow little did Mary know what she started years ago.  To date she has collected over 11,000 kg of bread tags, and donated 38 wheel chairs to needy people!  A very worthwhile recipient of the first award.  Brian was awarded the "Biggest Loser of Traveltime" for losing a camera in Knysna filled with happy memories and Sandy was awarded the "Biggest Loser of Time Out" for losing her precious Max Mari glasses (which were later found).

The buffet table 'groaned' with delicious food - starters to die for, mains that filled more than a few tummies, and delicious decadent desserts.  The chefs pictured in the middle were notably proud of their creations..
