Tour Report

KFM were on a road trip through Langebaan, Riebeek Kasteel and Ceres. Our outing to Riebeek Kasteel co-incided with their visit. Sandy decided to audition for a position on the morning show with Ian Bredenkamp. Local school children lining up to see their Radio favourites.  Great excitement for Riebeek Kasteel! Jacquiline and Susanita are ‘old’ friends – glad to see each other!  Pat couldn’t resist these cupcakes at Wicked Treats. Amanda recently moved to Riebeek Kasteel from Bela-Bela and decided to open the Artist Caffe – she serves coffee and pancakes in her quirky home filled with her own art.

Kasteelberg Bistro is where we had lunch today.  Winnie, Erika and Joy patiently wait for their lunch (“Hey here comes THAT photographer again – you can’t escape her”).  Shirley was happy to meet Allan Barnard.  Meanwhile, Ingrid and Gillie were on hand to be photographed! Sandy, Cheryl and Karen look happy – a glass of delicious red wine after getting caught in the rain sure helps.  Karen must be battling with the cold – she comes from Dubai where temperatures like we experienced today are totally unheard of!! These little pre-school pupils on the Het Vlock Kasteel farm were returning home after their time at school.  Bridget, Cary and Sheila out and about in Riebeek Kasteel complete with umbrellas! Ingrid’s friend gave her this hijab to wear – we were all begging her to lend it to us – wonderful for a bad-hair day!  Winnie and Karen all snug-as-a-bug-in-a-rug on the coach!
