Thank you for your report. I was able to relive the wonderful trip.
Again, I was so impressed by your program. You obviously work hard to find the
best accommodations and stops -it was evident you have built good relationships
with your contacts.
The knowledge you have of the area is priceless.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the trip – thank you again for all your hard work.

The Report was a delight to read, thank you! K & I just got home last night and it was a wonderful, perfectly concise, diary of what we did with you. Thank you, again, very much. One tiny note of contention: going to Lambert’s Bay didn’t achieve its goal, as you pointed out, but I can assure you that not a person on the trip would in retrospect do otherwise. The further to go, the less known the road, the more an American will travel it!
Thanks!

I cannot thank you enough for giving me a wonderful holiday I won’t forget. Including Tobie on the sofa at Zuurberg Village.
I was there in April with Traveltime on tour for 3 nights. Hopefully Traveltime will organize another tour in the near future to Zuurberg.

Old Year Tour 2021
Dearest, special Carol,
I write to say a HUGE, THANK YOU, for giving me the privilege to travel with you, Chris and the group on the Swartberg Mountain Tour. Every minute of it, was just wonderful, from the moment I got onto the bus.
Your attention to detail is a trademark of YOU. YOU are an inspiration, and we all are so lucky to know you. We were all very sad that Brian was not well, and hope he is on the mend now. We all missed him.
Your choice of the Swartberg Country Manor, was just spot on. It is a spectacular place to be for four days, especially over New Year. Leoni and Riaan were such marvellous hosts, and as for Pierre, the Chef – what incredible, delicious food we were given each day. How privileged we all were.

July ’20 Newsletters
Thank you very much, dear Carol and Brian for keeping the flag flying and keeping in touch. This latest newsletter is fun & inspiring.
I’m sure there have been times in the past year when you have wondered if it was all worth it. But despite the various setbacks you have experienced you persevered & I’m sure that many members of the Time Out family are as pleased as I am that you have.
This latest newsletter allowed me to dream again of all the good things that are in store for us in the future. Let’s hope and pray that it’s not too far off.
Thanks again. Look after yourselves and one another. Stay safe & warm.

Re: July 2020 Newsletters
What a beautiful message from you both. As I do every month when the newsletter arrives, I had such fun looking at all the photographs of times past. As far as the Travel Club is concerned, I joined in January 2011, and what a difference and what joy it has brought to my life. I am so glad that I took the trouble over the years to compile photo albums of all the away trips I enjoyed with you both. I can now enjoy the walk down memory lane anytime I want to. What fabulous times we have had, and what lovely friends I have made during the years. In spite of this being such an anxious and difficult time for us all, I look forward positively to the time when we will all be together on that bus and “on the road again”, and I just know it’s going to happen.
I thank you both, most sincerely for all your hard work and dedication over the years, which enabled me to see places, and make friends I never would have done without you.

Mystery Venue Tour
29th February 2020
All I can say is “Gosh!” … what a marvelous day out yesterday. You put it together superbly and spirits were visibly lifted with the re-connecting of familiar, kind friends and acquaintances. I think the best experience was seeing Carol again, looking so pretty (I mean that sincerely) – a shorter hair-do perfect for your features and lovely, natural make-up. Well done Carol! This was the best lift for all of us. Take things slowly – nobody is in a rush for the next day out. And full marks to the “carer” …. A living testimony to the marriage vows sadly taken so lightly to-day.
The bus driver was so helpful – with a bus where the aircon really worked and the best bonus of all …. A footstool at the base of the steps taking care of the likes of me where the cartilage everywhere has shrunk somewhat and the footstool tempers the shock of a height-variable step down. This is the norm overseas but more often than not – overlooked here.
No more to say ….. thanks a ton! (Not forgetting my successful self -drawn prize – too embarrassing for description). With many thoughts and prayers for a continuing recovery

Spring Flowers 2019
USA Group
26-30 August 2019
Extremely few Americans come to South Africa to do what my nine travelers and I are doing right now in Clanwilliam in the Cedarberg Mountains. Most Americans believe Africa” means “lion” and little else.
Lions are one of my principal passions, but particularly when pursued in southern Africa I actually think there are other kinds of attractions that are more interesting and exciting. Like …flowers. This was our first day on the spring wild flower tour and it was fabulous!
Let’s start with some eye-openers for you. The day began at 29 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s just a tad below normal. In the course of our bus drive about 150 miles north of Cape Town the sun managed to come out a few times and warm up the veld to the low 60s.

Spring Flowers 2019
02-06 September 2019
Included in my happy memories are the days we spent on your Spring Flowers tour. Coming on that trip was the fulfilment of a long-held dream, and it was truly fantastic to see all the beautiful flowers and the superb beaches. Both were greatly appreciated, and I took lots of photos, which my friends have really admired. I will tell them all about the trip when I return to Durban!
We also enjoyed meeting lots of different people, and hearing about their lives, as we chatted during meal times. I have to compliment you on choosing wonderful places in which to enjoy our lunches and dinners. The picnic on the beach was a great start to the tour, and will always remain in my memory. The food was absolutely superb, and very impressive. Please give the chef at the Blaauwberg Hotel my praise! I will definitely patronise that hotel in the future!

19th Birthday Celebration
25 July 2019
On this beautiful day, my thoughts go to that amazing day spent with Time Out in Gordon’s Bay yesterday. I am absolutely bowled over by the tumultuous amount of work you put into every detail of that birthday celebration – initial planning and what went into it – and the great recording of our past tours so skilfully presented – the individually processed bags and cards – gift wrapping and really absolutely everything.
Thanks to both of you – I am just sorry I did not know of these tours before – but better late than never! May you go from strength to strength and I look forward to all these carefully planned surprises as long as I am able to participate.
