STARK CONDÉ
Postcard Caf
é

The restaurant on the Starke Condé Estate was named Postcard Cafe because the views are like something on a postcard. The view definitely takes your breath away.  One lady remarked - "Carol forget about lunch - all I need is my camera, and I'm happy"

Our first stop was Cold Gold (in Bosmans Crossing) where Janine, who has worked with top chefs at the Mount Nelson and The Twelve Apostles has started making ice cream. In her words "I put a lot of love into my ice cream" and you can taste it!

The flavors which range from Decadent Chocolate to Pop Corn to Strawberry tare to die-for!  Thyra enjoyed her ice cream SO much she never even opened her eyes for the camera!

Some of the ladies started off at Pane E Vino for a delicious cappuccino and grappa which they are famous for!

Here is a view of their wine tasting room and it is very evident why people are flocking there every day!

The young man from the wine tasting room seemed to have his hands full (not that he minded!) In the next photo - Four beauties near a most beautiful willow tree.

This is the view from The Postcard Café, where we had lunch on the patio. Food tastes even better with the beautiful view as a backdrop!

The lunch was delicious and all the ladies broke down after eating their salad to have a slice of decadent chocolate cake; or almond orange cake!

The sheer beauty of the surrounding countryside
makes me want to stare, open mouthed,
at the splendor of what our creator
has provided for our enjoyment.
