What a happy bunch of
ladies all glad to be
together on a Time Out
outing and enjoying each
other's company!
Peregrines is always a
wonderful stop when
traveling the N2 out of
Cape Town. They
make awesome coffee;
their snacks are
fabulous; they sell out
of quiches; but we had
to laugh! They are
re-modeling their ladies
toilet block which
resulted in the ladies
commandeering the men's
toilet - Annette decided
"We could manage in the
men's toilet - with
ease"
Romantiques in Hermanus
is a must-stop place!
Their collection of
memorabilia; and
antiques is mind blowing
- It had the ladies
oohing and aahing........and
the cash tills ringing
with small trinkets
which were purchased.
They have a full movie
room set up to show
their classical movies.
Jeanine chose a Laurel
and Hardy movie for us -
what a fabulous choice!
It had us all
laughing........I
thought initially they
were 'silent' movies but
this classical movie was
a great interlude to our
tour today!
Maureen seemed to have
thoroughly enjoyed the
movie judging by the
look on her face.
"Ingrid what track do
you want to hear" Ann
seems to be saying and
Dawn clearly remembered
the trips to dentist
when seated in this
chair.
They have a fabulous
collection of Coca-Cola
memorabilia whilst their
Elvis record collection
is a must-see for
collectors.
Our lunch venue was the Harbour Rock in the new harbour. The views of Hermanus are terrific from this restaurant.
It's always so good to catch up with each other. We had a record this month when we discovered we had 4 ANNS on tour with us!
There
were also 2 Mel's
although Mel (in striped
top) seemed somewhat
surprised to be on
camera! Wow your
food looks better than
mine..........says
Maureen to Veronica!
Carol (not often in the photos - after all she IS the photographer) & Theresa! Susan bought David a gift. Click on the photo to see what it is.
