Our day to Greyton started off with rain in the
city which had dire consequences with the
traffic. This made us late for our L.O.N.G. trip
to Greyton. The dismay at being late was
quickly lost when we viewed the two gorgeous
gardens which had been arranged for us! A bit
of retail therapy and then a 10km drive out to
The Oaks Estate where a L.O.N.G. table had been
set for us to enjoy their lunch. A delicious
tomato soup with bread sticks followed by a cold
platter with chicken pie and interesting
vegetables with a delicious apple pie completed
our experience. A day out in the country is
always refreshing and it was wonderful to see
all the blue cranes, sheep and cows—this
restored our souls before, once again, we hit
peak traffic in the city! |

At our anniversary lunch Barbi
Bretherton won the Hylton Ross Voucher
(Full day Wine Route Tour for two) and
not being able to use it before it
expired, Barbi handed the voucher back
to us. We organized a draw today for
anyone interested and Hilda Bruwer had
the fortune to win it. ENJOY your trip,
Hilda! |
